The gite was founded on our life philosophy and our approach to viticulture sustainability, simple habits passed down to us by our parents and grand-parents, people of the earth, that we have used everyday since childhood.
We eat what nature gives us, we response and value the responsible consumption of resources (water, electricity). For sustainable development, Adelaide Grall created an initiative for ‘eco’ daycare centers in the Cher region. Booklets of nature activities for children, to discover the local flora and fauna, recipe books, daily “eco-habits”…enables the discovery of experiences for a healthier world.
Quite naturally for the house of adèle I opted to furnish it with second hand items. With the exception of the large appliances, the beds and bedding, everything was bought or acquired in the spirit of ‘reuse’, making progress towards ‘sustainable tourism ‘.
In 2024, the house of adèle signed the Charter of Positive Tourism of Sancerre area and candidate for the 1st label of responsible tourism Green Key and defined its policy via an Environmental Charter.
In the garden, you will discover :
A zero waste gite, everything homemade, repurposed, with purchases limited or made second-hand, loaned or bartered.
In the gite everything is washable (sponge, etc) in order to reduce waste and obviously use selective sorting for recycling. We use natural cleaning materials (baking soda, lemon, white vinegar) or eco-certified products (detergent, for example).

I propose (available upon request) a local food basket, composed of products made by artisans in the Sancerrois or nearby, ready to eat and/or to cook at the gite during your stay or to take home : artisanal organic pates, Berry lentils, saffron popcorn, Crottin de Chavignol (goat cheese), vineyard honey, wild nut oil, algae, organic lemonade, and artisanal soap.
You can also discover food and wine pairings, 100% local with winegrower snack and the wines of the estate !
I hope that the Adéle’s home will be a haven of peace for you. You can can relax, cook if you feel like it, enjoy the shady garden or go discover the magnificent countryside in the ready, the products of our soil and vineyards.
